How To Make Coconut Milk
Things required for making coconut milk
3/4 Cups Unsweetened shredded coconut
2 1/4 Cups hot water
A blender
Cheesecloth
A jar
Spoon
How To Make Coconut Milk
Step 1: Mix 3/4 cups of unsweetened shredded coconut and 2 1/4 cups of the hot or boiling water to your blender. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Pour blended mixture through a cheesecloth into your jar. Use the back of a spoon to press the coconut and get the most liquid out. You may wrap the cloth around a squeeze out all the liquid also.
Step 3: Store it in the refrigerator.
Step 4: Next day you will see separation in your refrigerated coconut milk. The coconut cream will have firmed up and settled at the top.
Step 5: You may scoop out the coconut cream for separate use or you can blend it with the rest of your coconut milk to have creamy milk.
Step 6: Then pour the coconut milk into the jar and shake the jar vigorously several times or pour into blender and blend for 30 seconds or until fully combined.
Step 7: Put it in the refrigerator and enjoy!
Tip:
Do not refrigerate coconut milk for more than 7 days.
