Egg Tea (Teh
talua or teh telor –in bahasa) is a tea beverage from West Sumatra, Indonesia-
A traditional tea. The tea is unique because of the use of egg yolk in its
preparation. Chicken or duck egg can be chosen for the tea.
Other ingredients is tea and egg yolk, sugar and
calamondin.
A traditional method of preparing this beverage is:
1. Stir the egg yolk and 2 spoons of sugar in a glass
(to taste)
2. Stir a batter untill frothy and look like white.
3. Prepare a glass of tea (any kind of tea)
4. Pour the tea into the batter and stir.
5. Add calamondin to taste
